the map shows the official data of the share of the Crimean Tatar population (as the share among those who answered the question of nationality); in brackets is the total share of those who answered the question of nationality "Crimean Tatar" and simply "Tatar". During the 2014 census, a significant part of those who indicated the nationality "Tatar" in the census were actually Crimean Tatars. In the 2001 census, 13.6 thousand Russians and Ukrainians accounted for more than 2,027. 0 thousand. Tatars, that is, 149 Russians and Ukrainians accounted for 1 Tatar (according to the 1989 census-210, and the 1979 census - 208). Russian Russians and Ukrainians accounted for 45.0 thousand Tatars in the 2014 census, that is, for 40.8 Russians and Ukrainians there was 1 Tatar, which indicates that the vast majority of the so-called "Tatars" in the 2014 census were actually Crimean Tatars.
