This is a map of the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway (Big Four) drawn on the New York Central system as of 1918, with trackage rights in purple. Email me if you would like a copy of the GIS data I created (modified from Bureau of Transportation Statistics North American Transportation Atlas Data) or if you see any errors. This map includes all companies leased by the Big Four, as well as the following operating subsidiaries:
- Central Indiana Railway (jointly controlled with the Pennsylvania Company)
- Cincinnati Northern Railroad
- Kankakee and Seneca Railroad (jointly controlled with the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway)
It does not include the following:
- Dayton and Union Railroad (the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad took majority control in about 1918)

Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis RailwayDie Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway (CCC&StL.), bekannt auch unter dem Namen Big Four, ist eine ehemalige Class-I-Bahngesellschaft in den Vereinigten Staaten mit Sitz in Indianapolis. Sie entstand 1889 durch die Fusion mehrerer Bahngesellschaften. Ihr Netz überdeckte weite Teile der Bundesstaaten Ohio, Indiana und Illinois, einige Zweigstrecken erreichten auch Kentucky und Michigan. Bereits ab 1872 besaßen die Vanderbilts, denen auch die New York Central Railroad gehörte, größere Anteile der Vorgängergesellschaften der CCC&StL. Die New York Central erwarb 1906 die Big Four vollständig und pachtete sie 1930 formal. Mit Fusion der New York Central mit der Pennsylvania Railroad zur Penn Central 1968 hörte die Big Four auf zu existieren.
