Braşov trams 1994. V2A Car nr 12 Route 101 - Flickr - sludgegulper
This north-south light rail system in Brasov connected Saturn Boulevard and the huge industrial area to the north of Tractorul and the Rulmentul bearings factory, which was the official terminus. A station was served inbetween but I think it wasn't the main station for trains to Bucuresti .Time unfortunately didn't allow a scenic trip to Tractorul. I think that Rulmentul collapsed in the meantime..and with it the purpose of the line, leading to closure in 2006. Latterly, former German trams were used on the route. It is not quite clear to me what the official livery was on the Brasov system. Car no 12 is one of four , 9-12 two-compartment V2A trams and it is being followed by one of the more numerous V3A units.
12 was originally a school tram for training, and was withdrawn well before the final end in 2006 in 2000.Relevante Bilder
