Grave of actress Bonita Granville at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California (grotto, lot 196, grave 12). Granville was born February 2, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1936 film These Three, played the title character in four Nancy Drew films from 1938–39, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She married television producer and resort owner Jack Wrather in 1947 and the couple had two children (in addtion two children from Jack's previous marriage to Mollie O'Daniel). Bonita worked as a producer for several films and television productions of The Lone Ranger and Lassie for her husband's Wrather Corporation. Jack died of cancer in 1984; Bonita died of lung cancer on October 11, 1988 in Santa Monica, California at age 65 and was buried next to him.
