Bomber Crew by Stella Bowen. This painting is a portrait of the crew of a No. 460 Squadron RAAF Lancaster Bomber. Bowen sketched the crew on the day that they set out for a raid against Germany during which their bomber was shot down, with all but one member of the crew being killed.
