The Alexander C. Cushing International Maritime Law Conference “International Law and Conflict at Sea” was held at the Stockton Center for International Law at Naval War College Nov. 27-28, 2018. The event is co-sponsored by the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) and The Fletcher School for Law and Diplomacy. Along with experts from the Stockton Center, JMSDF, and The Fletcher School, the conference brings together the world’s foremost legal scholars to assess the application of international law to conflict at sea. Keynote speakers, discussants and participants gathered from around the world to bring a wealth of professional experience and scholarly accomplishment.
