The Tree of Jesse is a depiction in art of the ancestors of Jesus Christ, shown in a branching tree which rises from Jesse of Bethlehem, the father of King David. Als o depicted are the twelve tribes of Israel, the twelve Kings of Israel and the twelve Apostes. The altar was donated by the fopunder of the city George of Saxony (1471-1539) and his wife Johanna.

Die St. Annenkirche in Annaberg-Buchholz ist eine Hallenkirche an der Schwelle zwischen Spätgotik und Renaissance und mit 65 Metern Länge und 40 Metern Breite die größte reine Hallenkirche der Spätgotik in Sachsen.
