This is a screenshot of AlmaLinux 8.4, a free (as in both "freedom" and "gratis") enterprise-grade operating system based on, and intended to be entirely compatible with, the commercial Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. It is shown installed in the "Workstation" configuration which installs the operating system with the GNOME desktop environment, shown here in the Activities view, and various applications suited for general productivity, such as the Mozilla Firefox web browser and GNOME Evolution email client - both included as default pins on the left-side dash of the Activities view. It is shown in this screenshot with one application open, Nautilus, GNOME's file manager, which is showing the user's home directory.
