The first film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, though due to its age, it does come across as more of a brief synopsis of the story. Despite this, it is notable for some quite ground breaking special effects for a film over 100 years old, including Alice shrinking and growing and a very bored looking, yet enormous Cheshire Cat.

Highlights include the Mad Hatter and March Hare drowning a fat Dormouse puppet in a teapot and Alice escaping beheading by punching the executioner around the ear.

Alice in Wonderland ist ein britischer Film von Cecil Hepworth und Percy Stow aus dem Jahre 1903. Der Film basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Buch von Lewis Carroll und ist die erste „Alice im Wunderland“-Verfilmung überhaupt. Mit 800 Fuß Länge ist er gleichzeitig der längste bis dahin in England produzierte Film. Aufgrund der Länge wurde der Film oftmals nur szenenweise und nicht komplett verkauft.
