"On October 31, 2007, Governor Patrick joined other state officials, Red Sox fans, team owner John Henry, CEO Larry Lucchino, Chairman Tom Werner, and players Jason Varitek and Doug Mirabelli in front of the State House to celebrate the team's second World Series Championship in three years. The Governor, House Speaker DiMasi, and Senate President Therese Murray congratulated the Red Sox on their accomplishment and thanked them for a great season."
