1979 AMC Spirit AMX a subcompact lift back built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). This car has been updated with AMC's 390 cu in (6.4 L) 4-bb V8 engine with 4-speed manual transmission. It has been customized for racing and is named “Black Plague”.... The car's black exterior features flame paint work starting with the grille. The AMX was the name of the 1968 to 1970 two-seater GT-type muscle cars built by AMC. It was used again on the top performance models in the AMC Spirit subcompact line for the 1979 and 1980 model years. Picture taken during the during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention that was held July 2015 near Cleveland, Ohio.
