In 1935 Giovanni Lurani made the "Nibbio" with a 495 ccm V2 engine by Guzzi and body by Carrozzeria Riva. On 5 November 1935 he/Nibbio set land speed records for the I class (350 to 500 ccm engines) on the Autostrada between Firenze and Lucca, on the stretch between Autopaschio and Lucca.[1] Not sure when this picture is taken, but perhaps after the speed record?
