Bastrop State Park Lake in Bastrop County, Texas, United States is prime breeding habitat for the endangered Houston toad. The lake is closed to the public during their mating season in February, March, and April. The lake drained when the impounding earthen dam failed on May 25, 2015, due to heavy rains in the Bastrop area.

The statue of Stephen F. Austin at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site. The bronze statue, sculpted by John Angel, was unveiled in 1938 as part of the Texas Centennial celebration. The statue is a contributing resource to the San Felipe de Austin Historic and Archaeological District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 11, 2016.
