Das Shanghai-Stadion ist ein Fußballstadion mit Leichtathletikanlage in der chinesischen Metropole Shanghai. Während der Olympischen Spiele 2008 wurden dort Vorrundenspiele der Fußballturniere ausgetragen. Seit 2009 trägt der Fußballverein Shanghai SIPG seine Heimspiele im Stadion aus. In direkter Nachbarschaft liegt das Shanghai Indoor Stadium, eine Mehrzweckhalle mit 12.000 Plätzen.
Das Stadion wurde 1997 anlässlich der 8. Nationalspiele der Volksrepublik China, die vom 12. bis zum 24. Oktober des Jahres stattfanden, eröffnet. Das Gelände umfasst 190.000 Quadratmeter, die Stadionkapazität liegt bei maximal 80.000 Zuschauern, womit es zu den größten Stadien zählt. Zu Fußballspielen fasst es 56.000 Besucher. Im Sommer 2007 war die Anlage eine der Austragungsorte der Special Olympics World Summer Games, die Sommerausgabe der Special Olympics für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung und Mehrfachbehinderung.

A photograph of Shanghai Stadium which was taken by myself from a nearby apartment building. The photograph was taken on the 7th of August, during the 2008 Summer Olympics preliminary football match between Australia and Serbia.
