Paul Gottfried

Paul Edward Gottfried (* 21. November 1941 in Brooklyn, New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Politikwissenschaftler, Historiker, Philosoph und Autor. Er gilt als Vertreter des Paläokonservatismus.

Leben

Paul Gottfried studierte an der Yeshiva University (Bachelor, 1963) und der Yale University (Master, 1965). Seinen Ph.D. erwarb er 1967. Danach war er Assistent Professor an der Case Western Reserve University und der New York University. 1974 übernahm er einen Lehrstuhl für Geschichte am Rockford College. Er war ab 1989 Horace Raffensperger Professor für Humanities am Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania.^[1] Er ist Dozent am Ludwig von Mises Institute. Außerdem ist er Präsident des Henry L. Mencken Club und Mitglied der Società Libera.
