Die Olympischen Sommerspiele 2032 (offiziell Spiele der XXXV. Olympiade) sind eine geplante internationale Multisportveranstaltung. Sie sollen in der australischen Stadt Brisbane stattfinden.[1] Es werden die dritten Sommerspiele in Australien nach Melbourne 1956 und Sydney 2000 sein. Die Eröffnungsfeier ist für den 24. Juli 2032 geplant.[2]
Auswahlverfahren
Das neue IOC-Auswahlverfahren wurde auf der 134. IOC-Sitzung am 24. Juni 2019 in Lausanne genehmigt. Die wichtigsten Vorschläge, die auf den einschlägigen Empfehlungen der Olympischen Agenda 2020 beruhen, sind:[3][4]
- Etablierung eines permanenten, kontinuierlichen Dialogs, um Städte/Regionen/Länder und nationale Olympische Komitees für jedes olympische Ereignis zu erkunden und Interesse zu wecken
- Einrichtung zweier Future Host Commissions (Sommer- und Winterspiele), um das Interesse an zukünftigen olympischen Ereignissen zu überwachen und dem IOC-Präsidium Bericht zu erstatten
- Mehr Einfluss für die IOC-Session, indem Nichtmitglieder des Exekutivkomitees in die Future Host Commissions aufgenommen werden.
Um die Flexibilität zu erhöhen, änderte das IOC die Olympische Charta. So wurde die Regel, die den Wahltermin auf 7 Jahre vor den Spielen festlegte, gelöscht. Darüber hinaus wurde der Passus, dass nur eine einzelne Stadt/Region/Land Gastgeber werden kann, gestrichen.
Future Host Commission
Die vollständige Zusammensetzung der Sommerkommissionen, die interessierte Gastgeber beaufsichtigen oder potenzielle Gastgeber, bei denen das IOC Interesse wecken möchte, ist wie folgt:[5]

Dialogphasen
Gemäß dem Mandat der Future Host Commission mit Verhaltensregeln ist das neue IOC-Bewerbungsverfahren in zwei Dialogphasen unterteilt:[6]
- Kontinuierlicher Dialog
- Unverbindliche Diskussionen zwischen dem IOC und interessierten Parteien (Stadt / Region / Land / NOC, die an einer Ausrichtung interessiert sind) hinsichtlich der Ausrichtung künftiger olympischer Veranstaltungen.
- Gezielter Dialog
- Gezielte Diskussionen mit einer oder mehreren interessierten Parteien (als bevorzugte Gastgeber bezeichnet), wie vom IOC-Vorstand angewiesen. Dies folgt einer Empfehlung der Future Host Commission als Ergebnis des kontinuierlichen Dialogs.
Bewerbungen
Neben Brisbane bekundeten auch Deutschland mit der Rhein-Ruhr-Region (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Katar und Indonesien mit seiner Hauptstadt Jakarta Interesse.[7][8][9][10][11] Im Zuge des neuen Auswahlverfahrens entschied sich das IOC ziemlich früh, bereits 2021, für Brisbane als bevorzugten Bewerber.[12]
Geplante Wettkampfstätten
Die Bewerbung für das australische Brisbane sah vor, dass zu 84 % bestehende oder temporäre Infrastruktur genutzt werden soll. Im Zentrum steht der als The Gabba bekannte Brisbane Cricket Ground, der nach einem Umbau für die Leichtathletik und Feiern der Spiele genutzt werden soll.[13] Weitere Wettkämpfe sollen vornehmlich in Brisbane selbst, aber auch in Gold Coast stattfinden, das die Commonwealth Games 2018 austrug.[14][15]

Die dominikanische Flagge wurde von Juan Pablo Duarte, dem Vater der nationalen Unabhängigkeit der Dominikanischen Republik, entworfen. Die erste dominikanische Flagge wurde von einer jungen Dame namens Concepción Bona genäht, die in der Nacht des 27. Februar 1844 gegenüber der Straße von El Baluarte, dem Denkmal, an dem sich die Patrioten versammelten, um für die Unabhängigkeit zu kämpfen, wohnte. Concepción Bona wurde von ihrer Cousine ersten Grades unterstützt Maria de Jesús Pina.
