Der Einzelwettbewerb im Bogenschießen der Männer bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1996 in Atlanta wurde vom 28. Juli bis 1. August im Stone Mountain Park Archery Center ausgetragen. 64 Athleten nahmen teil.
Wettkampfformat
Wie bei den Spielen zuvor gab es zu Beginn eine Platzierungsrunde. In dieser schoss jeder Schütze eine FITA-Runde, bestehend aus 144 Pfeilen. Die Schützen mussten jeweils 36 Pfeile über jede der 4 Distanzen (70, 60, 50, 30 Meter) schießen. Anders als 1992 qualifizierten sich alle Schützen für die Endrunde, welche im K.-o.-System ausgetragen wurde.
