Die 56. Internationalen Tennismeisterschaften von Deutschland fanden vom 30. Juli bis zum 7. August 1962 auf dem Rothenbaum in Hamburg statt.
Die Titelverteidiger Rod Laver und die inzwischen verheiratete Sandra Price konnten sich erneut durchsetzen. Für sie war es der dritte Sieg in Folge. In den Doppelkonkurrenzen gab es ausschließlich australische Siege, wobei Bob Hewitt seinen Titel im Herrendoppel verteidigen konnte und Lesley Turner sowohl im Damendoppel als auch im Mixed gewann. Bei den Herren erreichte Wilhelm Bungert wie im Vorjahr das Halbfinale. Neun Jahre nach ihrem letztmaligen Sieg 1953 nahm die US-Amerikanerin Dorothy Knode wieder in Hamburg teil.
