Die Gippsland Trophy 2021 war ein Damen-Tennisturnier in Melbourne. Das Hartplatzturnier der Kategorie WTA 500 war Teil der WTA Tour 2021 und fand vom 31. Januar bis 7. Februar 2021 gleichzeitig mit dem Yarra Valley Classic 2021 und Grampians Trophy 2021 im Melbourne Park statt.
Nachdem ein Hotelmitarbeiter positiv auf COVID-19 getestet wurde in dem auch Spielerinnen untergebracht waren, fielen alle Spiele am Donnerstag, den 4. Februar 2021 aus. Am Folgetag wurde der Spielbetrieb mit einer Regeländerung wieder aufgenommen, die für den Rest des Turniers galt. Im dritten Satz hat ein Match-Tie-Break über den Spielausgang entschieden.[1]
Das Gippsland, für welches das Turnier warb, ist eine ländlich geprägte Region im australischen Staat Victoria.
