Football League Third Division 1957/58

Die Football League Third Division 1957/58 war die 31. Saison der dritthöchsten englischen Fußballliga. Die in Nord- und Südstaffel aufgeteilte Spielklasse hatte mit Scunthorpe & Lindsey United und Brighton & Hove Albion ihre beiden Meister und gleichzeitig Aufsteiger in die Football League Second Division. Für die beiden Aufsteiger nahmen in der Drittligasaison 1958/59 die zwei in der Tabelle unten rangierenden Zweitligisten Notts County und Doncaster Rovers die Plätze ein. Aufgrund der Zusammenführung der beiden Staffeln in eine fortan nur noch eingleisige Third Division durften nur noch die weiter bis jeweils Platz 12 rangierenden Teams in der Liga verbleiben. Die restlichen Vereine bildeten die 1958 neu gegründete Football League Fourth Division. Dabei mussten sich die zuunterst platzierten Nordklubs FC Southport und Crewe Alexandra sowie im Süden FC Millwall und Exeter City einem Wiederwahlverfahren des Ligaverbands stellen, erhielten aber jeweils ausreichend viele Stimmen, um in der Saison 1958/59 an der Fourth Division teilnehmen zu dürfen.
