Titelverteidigerinnen waren die Tschechin Petra Kvitová im Einzel und die Paarung Martina Hingis / Flavia Pennetta im Doppel.
Qualifikation
Die Qualifikation für die Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open 2015 fand vom 25. bis 26. September 2015 statt. Ausgespielt wurden acht Plätze für die Teilnahme am Hauptfeld des Einzelwettbewerbs.
