Die 14. Commonwealth Games fanden vom 24. Januar bis 3. Februar 1990 in der neuseeländischen Stadt Auckland statt.
Ausgetragen wurden 205 Wettbewerbe in den Sportarten Badminton, Bowls, Boxen, Gewichtheben, Judo, Leichtathletik, Radfahren, Schießen, Schwimmen (inkl. Wasserspringen und Synchronschwimmen) und Turnen (inkl. Rhythmische Sportgymnastik). Es nahmen 2073 Sportler aus 55 Ländern teil. Hauptwettkampfort war das Mount Smart Stadium.

Otherwise known as the Ulster Flag, Red Hand of Ulster Flag, Red Hand Flag.

This is the flag of the Falkland Islands, used from 1948-1999 (with a short break in April-May 1982 due to the Falklands War). This flag was also used for the en:British Antarctic Territory from 1960-1969 and SGSSI from 1985-1992. The base pattern is from HK Blue Ensign and the arms are from the blue ensign. The FOTW was used for the position of the arms.

This is the flag of the Cayman Islands, prior to 1999 (It seems this version is still in use). The base pattern is from HK Blue Ensign and the arms are from the blue ensign. The FOTW was used for the position of the arms.
