Die 12. Commonwealth Games fanden vom 30. September bis 9. Oktober 1982 in der australischen Stadt Brisbane statt.
Ausgetragen wurden 142 Wettbewerbe in den Sportarten Badminton, Bogenschießen, Bowls, Boxen, Gewichtheben, Leichtathletik, Radfahren, Ringen, Schießen und Schwimmen (inklusive Wasserspringen). Es nahmen 1583 Sportler aus 45 Ländern teil. Hauptwettkampfort war das Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre.

This is the flag of the Falkland Islands, used from 1948-1999 (with a short break in April-May 1982 due to the Falklands War). This flag was also used for the en:British Antarctic Territory from 1960-1969 and SGSSI from 1985-1992. The base pattern is from HK Blue Ensign and the arms are from the blue ensign. The FOTW was used for the position of the arms.

Flag of the Isle of Mann. This version has the triskelion centered as a whole rather than based upon the imaginary circle created by the prongs of each leg.
