Die Bank of the West Classic 2005 waren ein WTA-Tennis-Hartplatzturnier für Frauen in Stanford. Es war als Turnier der Tier-II-Kategorie Teil der WTA Tour 2005. Das Turnier fand vom 23. bis 31. Juli 2005 statt.
Im Einzel gewann Kim Clijsters gegen Venus Williams mit 7:5 und 6:2. Im Doppel gewann die Paarung Cara Black / Rennae Stubbs mit 6:3 und 7:5 gegen Jelena Lichowzewa / Wera Swonarjowa.
Qualifikation
Die Qualifikation für die Bank of the West Classic 2005 fand vom 23. bis 25. Juli 2005 statt. Ausgespielt wurden vier Qualifikantenplätze für das Einzel und ein Qualifikationsplatz für das Doppel, die zur Teilnahme am Hauptfeld des Turniers berechtigten.

Besides, the blue outline of the five-petaled plum blossom is broader than the red one. Moreover, the CMYK code of the blue one and the Blue Sky & White Sun is "C100-M100-Y0-K0", and different from the Olympic rings (C100-M25-Y0-K0). Note that it's the only version recognized by IOC.
