Herrendoppel der Australian Open 1978. Titelverteidiger waren Ray Ruffels und Allan Stone. Das Finale bestritten Wojciech Fibak und Kim Warwick gegen Paul Cronk und Cliff Letcher, welches Fibak und Warwick in zwei Sätzen gewannen. Für Fibak war es der erste und einzige Grand-Slam-Titel, für Warwick der erste von insgesamt vier.
