Alto Caparaó ist eine brasilianische Gemeinde im Bundesstaat Minas Gerais.

Die Gemeinde wurde 1995 eigenständig. Es leben dort 5428 Einwohner (amtliche Schätzung 2016; Census 2010: 5297 Einwohner) auf 104,57 km².[1]

Bekannt ist der Ort als wichtigster Eingang in den Caparaó-Nationalpark. Neben dem Tourismus der Bergsteiger ist der Kaffeeanbau ein wichtiger Erwerbszweig.

The flag of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais is based on state law 2793 from 8 January 1963, which describes the flag as follows:
  • In the centre of a white rectangle in the format 20 units by 14 units is a red equilateral triangle with a side length of 8 units.
  • clockwise from left to right the sides of the triangle carry the phrases "LIBERTAS", "QUAE SERA" and "TAMEN". The letters are distanced from the triangle by 1/3 of a unit and are 2/3 of a unit in height.
