The House of Ahiel (3783266294)
Remains of a 7th century BCE house on the upper north-eastern slope of the City of David. The section reconstructed here is a good example of the classic "4-pillar house" layout. Behind and at right is the so-called "stepped stone structure" from the early 10th century. It appears that later population growth in Jerusalem prompted the building of a residential district on the slope, some of which was build up the surface of the 10th-century structure.
