Beschreibung:
Lithography, about 1900.
Note: Postcards were introduced to Austro-Hungarian monarchy by october 1, 1869, but first edited by postal authority only. By 1872, private editors were allowed to produce and sell postcards and started producing picture postcards from there on.
Until 1905, only the frontside of the card was allowed to contain some personal message – the backside was reserved for the address. Therefore, blank space for the message is foreseen on the frontside of those early period's items.
