Louis-Michel le Peletier, marquis de Saint-Fargeau (1760-1793), deputy at the "Convention Nationale", he voted in favor of the death of the king Louis XVI (361
pro, 360
contra). On 20 January 1793, the eve of the king's execution, Le Peletier was assassinated. He was therefore considered martyr, and became iconic for the Revolution.

Louis-Michel Le Peletier (Lepeletier), Marquis de Saint-Fargeau, war ein Politiker während der Französischen Revolution. Nach seiner Ermordung durch einen Royalisten wurde er als Revolutionsmärtyrer verehrt und hatte für wenige Jahre seine Grabstätte im Panthéon. Seine jüngeren Halbbrüder waren der Politiker Félix Lepeletier (1767–1837) und der Entomologe Amédée Louis Michel Le Peletier (1770–1845).
