Contemporary map showing the ephemeral Grand Duchy of Frankfurt (Großherzogtum Frankfurt, 1810–1813), which extended far beyond the city of Frankfurt (shown on the far left). The former Imperial City of Wetzlar (top left corner) also belonged to the Grand Duchy. The four départements of the Grand Duchy are delineated in different colors. The map also shows the small Principality of Isenburg. Both were member states of the Confederation of the Rhine.
The map was published in 1811 by the Geographical Institute of Weimar.

Großherzogtum FrankfurtDas Großherzogtum Frankfurt existierte von 1810 bis 1813. Mit 302.000 Einwohnern war es ein zusammenhängender Modellstaat von 5.160 km² innerhalb des Rheinbundes. Hauptstadt und Regierungssitz war Frankfurt am Main. Der Großherzog residierte zumeist im Schloss Johannisburg in Aschaffenburg.
