Der Blutkreislauf, auch Kreislauf, Blutzirkulation und kurz Zirkulation, Blutgefäßsystem oder Blutbahn genannt, ist das Strömungssystem des Blutes im Körper des Menschen und der meisten Tiere, ausgehend vom Herzen zu den Organen und wieder zurück zum Herzen. Herz und Blutkreislauf zusammen bilden das Herz-Kreislauf-System. Seine Aufgabe ist die Versorgung der Organe mit Nährstoffen, Signalstoffen und anderem, die Entsorgung von Stoffwechselprodukten und bei den meisten Gruppen mit Kreislauf auch die Versorgung mit Sauerstoff und der Abtransport von Kohlendioxid.
