Die Kommunistische Internationale, auch Dritte Internationale genannt, war ein internationaler Zusammenschluss kommunistischer Parteien zu einer weltweiten gemeinsamen Organisation. Die Gründung erfolgte 1919 in Moskau auf Initiative Lenins, der die Zweite Internationale mit Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkrieges 1914 für tot erklärt hatte.
