Balkans Rail Trip, Autumn 2013 - Day Nine

Final photo of three taken during my visit to Montenegro. All travels done on 1 October 2013 was in the one EMU set asseen here - 6111.101. Possibly a year earlier it would have been all hauled but nevertheless it was a pleasant rail system to visit with staff being friendly and more than happy to allow photographs to be taken.

Seen here at the end of the line of the famous route from Beograd to Bar, the Adriatic sea is some distance from the station to the right. Train seen is 6154, 11:35 Bar to Podgorica.

To the left in the sidings is the rolling stock use on the overnight train to the Serbian capital, Beograd. During peak seasons extra overnight trains run to carry tourists to the beaches of the Adriatic coast.

Bahnstrecke Belgrad–Bar

Die Eisenbahnstrecke Belgrad–Bar ist eine 1976 fertiggestellte 476 km lange elektrifizierte Hauptbahn in Serbien und Montenegro, die Belgrad mit dem Mittelmeerhafen Bar verbindet.
